Austin Messick
Originally from Utah, Austin grew up loving the outdoors and staying active through sports like lacrosse. That passion for movement and performance led him to pursue a career in physical therapy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Spanish from Utah State University before moving to Maine to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of New England.
Austin continued his training with a postgraduate orthopedic residency through A.T. Still University and earned his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification. He is also among a small percentage of physical therapists nationwide to become a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic and Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT), allowing him to provide highly individualized, evidence-based care.
Austin enjoys getting to know his patients and partnering with them to overcome challenges, restore confidence, and return to the activities they enjoy most. He believes in continual learning and tailoring care to each person’s goals. Outside the clinic, Austin enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors.
