What is Isokinetic Testing?
One major element to knowing when to return to sport, life activities, or work is knowing ratios of agonist and antagonist muscles as well as the right to left symmetrical function. Isokinetic testing is the muscle movement isolation.
How does Isokinetic Testing work?
By isolating the muscle groups we can measure, evaluate, and increase the strength of muscles, range of motion of joints, and the correlation they play with your injury. The machine’s main function is to improve your function. All of the different factors that can affect your movement can be measured and replicated with this machine. Your return to daily activities cannot be taken lightly and isokinetic testing will help give strong measurements to guide that process.
