Omar Recendez
Omar is a dedicated physical therapist with a strong commitment to serving rural and Spanish-speaking communities. At the age of twelve, he moved from a small ranch in Mexico to Southern Idaho, an experience that shaped his understanding of the healthcare barriers many families encounter. While completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Utah, Omar has focused on treating a wide range of conditions, from orthopedic injuries and chronic pain to neurologic cases, particularly stroke rehabilitation.
He values building strong, genuine connections with his patients and believes that trust and comfort are key to successful outcomes. Omar is especially passionate about patient education and advocacy in communities with limited access to care. Omar states he is excited about joining Wright Physical Therapy and being back in his hometown in Eden, ID.
When he’s not in the clinic, you might find Omar golfing, running trails, or crafting handmade leather goods. He also enjoys training horses alongside his father and two younger brothers, a tradition that keeps him connected to his roots. Omar draws deeply from his faith and the life lessons passed down by his mother, whose empathy and kindness influence his commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
